Statement from U.S. Secretary of Commerce Penny Pritzker on the PATENT ACT

U.S. Secretary of Commerce Penny Pritzker issued the following statement today on the Senate Judiciary Committee’s actions on the Protecting American Talent and Entrepreneurship Act (PATENT ACT).

 

"Today, the Senate Judiciary Committee took an important step forward to address patent trolls’ drag on the economy and American innovation by reporting out the Protecting American Talent and Entrepreneurship Act (PATENT Act).

This is an effort the Administration strongly supports, and I applaud the committee's BIPARTISAN efforts to strengthen America’s patent system through balanced and meaningful reform, protecting our innovators and growing our economy.”
