U.S. Secretary of Commerce Penny Pritzker Delivers Statement on the Disabilities Treaty
Thursday, November 21, 2013
“I join with leading voices of America’s business community in urging the United States Senate to approve the Convention on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities. Due to the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) and other U.S. laws, Americans with disabilities have been empowered to make major contributions to America's private sector and to our society. It is time to ratify this Treaty and provide more opportunities for wounded warriors and other Americans with disabilities to fully participate in the global economy."
