On the night of July 20, Secretary Penny Pritzker toured the FedEx Global Hub facilities in Memphis, Tennessee. While there, she observed the work of thousands of team members and learned about the technology and equipment used to manage facility operations.

Secretary Pritzker was joined by Representative Steve Cohen (D-TN 9th District), FedEx Global Operations Center Managing Director Marcus Martinez, and Manager of FedEx Global Hub Walter Kirkeminde. Martinez and Kirkeminde led tours of the FedEx campus facilities, including the Flight Standards Training Center, the Global Operations Center, and the Global Hub.

With thousands of team members working around the clock and the excellent use of innovative technology, FedEx is able to maintain a fast and efficient system to provide its customers with the best service. The Secretary’s tour of the FedEx Global Hub allowed her to experience the innovations being made in the packaging and delivery industry as the company continues to grow.
