On Wednesday, September 21, Secretary Pritzker and the U.S. Department of Commerce will co-host the U.S. African Business Forum (USABF) with Michael Bloomberg and Bloomberg Philanthropies. The USABF will bring together African heads of state with CEO’s of U.S. and African companies to discuss overall economic growth and to stimulate additional trade and investment between the United States and Africa.

Speaking before various dignitaries and business leaders, Secretary Pritzker will give opening and closing remarks at the forum with Michael Bloomberg. Secretary Pritzker will also moderate the High Tech Growth armchair that discusses technological innovations across the African continent and their potential to power economic growth.

At the forum, Secretary Pritzker will announce and meet with the new members of the President’s Advisory Council on Doing Business in Africa, attend various forum sessions, hold a roundtable discussion with Tunisian President Beji Caid Essebsi, attend a reception hosted by The Tony Elumelu Foundation and Business Council for International Understanding, and finally close out the forum alongside African heads of state and U.S. and African companies at the USABF dinner.
