Aaron Jenkins serves as the Director of the Center for Faith-Based and Neighborhood Partnerships at the United States Department of Commerce. In his role, he works to promote partnerships between business, community and faith-based organizations that foster economic opportunity and job growth. Prior to Commerce, Aaron was the Executive Director of Operation Understanding DC (OUDC), a non profit organization that specializes in cultural education, leadership and interfaith dialogue programming. He previously worked on Capitol Hill as a Legislative Aide to then-Senator John F. Kerry. Aaron started his career as a legislative staffer in the District of Columbia City Council working on a variety of domestic policy issues. A native Washingtonian, Aaron is a licensed minister and serves on the board of the Abramson Scholarship Foundation.
