
Glenn Davidson serves as the Executive Director of Enterprise Services for the US Department of Commerce.
Glenn comes to the Department from Accenture Federal Services where, as a Managing Director, he led its Operations line of business. Among his clients were the Internal Revenue Service, where Accenture registers all tax preparers; the US Department of Education, where Accenture originates and disburses all student loans; and the US Department of Justice, where Accenture collects all debt owed to the Federal Government, and the National Geospatial-Intelligence Agency, where Accenture provides human resources services. Glenn and his team also supported UNICEF and the Inter-American Development Bank in the planning, designing, building and running of their global, multi-function shared services operations.
Prior to joining Accenture, Glenn served as a Managing Director with KPMG LLP. As such, he led the shared services and outsourcing advisory practice’s public sector business. Among his clients were the US Air Force, Federal Bureau of Investigation, Internal Revenue Service, Transportation Security Administration, Architect of the Capitol, Environmental Protection Agency, US Agency for International Development, Commonwealth of Pennsylvania, State of Florida, State of Texas and the State of Michigan. He and his team helped these government organizations transform their mission-critical and mission-support operations through consolidation, shared services, technology deployments, and outsourcing.
Prior to his KPMG role, Glenn worked for Accenture LLP where he was a partner within its human performance line of business. Accenture HR Services, as the operations were known at the time, provided human resources services – from recruitment to retirement – to commercial and government organizations alike. The Transportation Security Administration and National Geospatial-Intelligence Agency were among Glenn’s Federal clients. His commercial clients included British Telecom, Cable & Wireless, Levi Strauss & Co., The Gap, and Borden Chemical Co.
Earlier in his career, Glenn served as senior vice president for communications and external affairs with Viatel – a provider of fiber, managed bandwidth services, and telecommunications services in Europe and chief operating officer of the Computer & Communications Industry Association. He also worked in Federal and state government; he was a legislative aide to Ohio Congressman Ronald M. Mottl in the 1980s and chief of staff to Governor L. Douglas Wilder in the 1990s.
He presently serves on the Board of Trustees for the Science Museum of Virginia and the Board of Directors for Create Common Good, a charitable not-for-profit.
Glenn is a graduate of the American University from which he holds a Bachelor’s Degree in International Relations. He also holds a Master’s Degree in Science, Technology and Public Policy from the George Washington University.
