This week, we celebrate the men and women who have chosen to dedicate their skills, talents, and expertise to the Nation and the American people through a career in public service.

Government employees work for the public good.  And the extraordinary men and women here at the Commerce Department are focused on empowering businesses with the conditions and tools they need to create economic growth, jobs, and opportunities throughout our country.

Expanding markets, providing a 21st century data resource base, promoting industrial, scientific, and technological progress, stimulating entrepreneurship, and advancing sustainable development and environmental stewardship are essential to letting the world know that America is Open for Business.

Thank you for your outstanding service to the Department and the Nation.  And thank you for making the Commerce team and the Commerce Department the best in Government.
