Ed. note: This post is part of a series highlighting the upcoming Hannover Messe Trade Show April 25—29, 2016. This series will highlight U.S. exhibitors that will participate in the world’s leading trade fair for industrial technology.

Guest blog post by Tibor Egervary, Director of Business Development at Resodyn Acoustic Mixers

This is your first time at Hannover Messe. What factors influenced your decision to participate this year?

We have three main reasons for participating:

  1. Significant and growing customer base globally, and in particular in the EU.
  2. Current and upcoming product introductions for mixing and processing across many global industries and companies.
  3. Ability to educate a large audience about Resodyn's upcoming Sixth Annual Technical InterChange in September.

Why is the Industrial Automation pavilion a natural home for you?

Resodyn products routinely trigger significant improvements in the expectations of development and laboratory personnel, making the Industrial Automation pavilion appropriate. ResonantAcoustic(R) Mixing (RAM) technology also flows downstream at many facilities, effecting changes in production floor process and operations. To that extent, the kinds of strategic and business level issues a company implements resemble those made when firms consider automating processes. Further, the technological and operational roles that are relevant to the implementation of RAM technology involve similar types of personnel in a production facility.

What do you hope to accomplish at Hannover Messe?

Resodyn Acoustic Mixers is perhaps the best kept secret in the processing world, especially within some industries like energetics, who consider RAM the mixing and processing technology of choice. With product introductions that can significantly impact large sections of the marketplace, this global event is an ideal venue to both communicate and demonstrate how our technology can change the way the manufacturing industry thinks about mixing and processing.

When and how did your company begin exporting?

Since 2007, RAM technology has found deep-rooted favor in transnational businesses like pharmaceutical manufacturing, energetics, nano-materials, and many others. As those firms informed other locations of the benefits of the new technology, RAM equipment followed. Today Resodyn Acoustic Mixers exports to over 20 countries from Canada to Singapore, France to South Korea, Japan to South Africa.

What impact has exporting had on your company?

Exporting allows Resodyn to grow our business and spread the word about RAM technology. Exporting also allows us to improve our product and performance by being exposed to international standards and certification requirements like CE.

What advice do you have for other American companies looking to start exporting?

It is critical for new exporters to determine the best model for selling and exporting their products given the business culture and practices in a specific country. One nation may work best with an entirely new company or division, while another may grow more quickly with a local distribution partner, while a third might prefer direct sales. It's also absolutely necessary to learn the exporting logistics and regulations within each country. Learning the ropes first will prevent troublesome problems and help stay within exporting laws.
