This is your first time at Hannover Messe. What factors influenced your decision to participate this year?
The Minority Business Development Agency (MBDA) and the U.S. Commercial Service presented us with the opportunity to participate in Hannover Messe and we decided to take advantage of it. By accepting this great opportunity, we feel that we have the ability to grow and expand our business and develop a stronger distributor network globally.
What do you hope to accomplish at Hannover Messe?
We hope to accomplish building and expanding upon our existing distributor network as well as possibly drumming up direct sales.
When and how did your company begin exporting?
We began exporting in 1991 to Mexico and have expanded to other countries since then including Argentina, Chile, Saudi Arabia, Guatemala, Venezuela and Canada.
What impact has exporting had on your company? What advice do you have for other American companies looking to start exporting?
Exporting has been the heart of what we do and what makes business possible for us. Without it, we would not have near the same amount of opportunities to grow and expand that we currently have now.
I would tell other American companies to take advantage of business development resources available to them at the Minority Business Development Agency (MBDA) and the U.S. Commercial Service. Also, to market their company aggressively in the countries in which they wish to present themselves.
