This is your first time at Hannover Messe. What factors influenced your decision to participate this year?
A little over a year ago Insequence opened a second office located in Upper Heyford, Oxfordshire, United Kingdom to better facilitate our customers and further grow our European presence. Since then, we've searched for an opportunity that would not only allow us to meet potential end users in new Geographic locations but also help us develop a network with prospective Agents/Resellers. When the US Trade Commission invited us to attend, the opportunity was too good to turn down.
Why is the Digital Factory pavilion a natural home for you?
For 20+ years Insequence has developed, implemented and supported their proprietary Just in Sequence (JIS), Inventory and Manufacturing Execution Systems software solutions. Having performed over 250 successful implementations over the course of these years, we have come to know and understand the day to day assembly and logistics needs on the shop floor. This is why we have been able to develop very complete, out-of-the-box standard software solutions.
What do you hope to accomplish at Hannover Messe?
Insequence looks forward to meeting potential end user clients in new markets. We are also seeking Agents and Distributors who have an established presence in Germany, Italy, Spain, Eastern European countries and in South America (Brazil, Argentina or Uruguay).
When and how did your company begin exporting?
Insequence’s first foreign software implementations took place in Canada and Mexico. Those operations came about by way of existing customers who required our services outside of the USA due to projects they had been awarded. Now we have deployed and are supporting implementations in the USA, Mexico, Canada, Argentina, Brazil, the United Kingdom and Poland.
What impact has exporting had on your company? What advice do you have for other American companies looking to start exporting?
Deploying our solutions in other countries has allowed us to acquire more business outside of the US and further develop business relationships. Once the avenues for international implementations were established, interest was generated amongst our clientele to utilize our software in their overseas operations. Partners/resellers in the United Kingdom not only helped facilitate some of these operations but enabled us to open an office that is now “Insequence Europe”. Our advice would be to always be looking for opportunities through your existing and potential partnerships.
