Grand Junction Weather Forecast Office
The mission of the Grand Junction, Colorado, National Weather Service Forecast Office is to serve our partners and customers by accomplishing the following goals/gjt: to do our best to protect life and property through the timely issuance of effective watches, warnings, and advisories of impending severe or hazardous weather conditions, and to prepare and issue useful weather and hydrology forecasts and climatological information. This mission is accomplished by providing warnings and forecast of hazardous weather, including thunderstorms, flooding, hurricanes, tornadoes, winter weather, and significant climate events. The NWS is the sole United States OFFICIAL voice for issuing warnings during life-threatening weather situations.
