Statement from U.S. Secretary of Commerce Penny Pritzker on FirstNet Board Appointment

U.S. Secretary of Commerce Penny Pritzker today issued a statement on the appointment of Barry Boniface to the FirstNet Board. FirstNet is an independent entity within the U.S. Commerce Department’s National Telecommunications and Information Administration (NTIA), with members appointed by the Secretary of Commerce to serve three-year terms. “The FirstNet Board has been working hard toward implementing a nationwide wireless broadband network that enables our first responders to better respond to emergencies and save lives,” said Secretary Penny Pritzker. “With more than two decades of business and management experience in the telecom industry, I believe Barry Boniface will be a great addition to FirstNet.”
