Statement from U.S. Secretary of Commerce Penny Pritzker on the Confirmation of Bruce Andrews as Deputy Secretary of Commerce

Today, U.S. Secretary of Commerce Penny Pritzker issued the following statement on the confirmation of Bruce Andrews as U.S. Deputy Secretary of Commerce.

“I am very pleased that the U.S. Senate has confirmed Bruce Andrews as the U.S. Deputy Secretary of Commerce. Bruce has been a trusted advisor and friend, as well as an invaluable resource during my first year at the Commerce Department. As Commerce’s Chief of Staff for the last two and a half years, Bruce played an integral role in the Department’s implementation of policies and initiatives that have helped businesses create jobs and strengthen our economy. We have a lot to do in the months ahead, and I am confident in Bruce’s ability to guide efforts to implement our key priorities to promote trade and investment, encourage innovation, unleash our data and protect the environment. I sincerely congratulate Bruce and look forward to continuing to work with him in this important new role.”
