Today U.S. Secretary of Commerce Penny Pritzker visited the BMW manufacturing facility in Spartanburg, South Carolina, where the German automaker announced an investment of approximately $1 billion in a new production line at the plant. The announcement, which is expected to create 800 new jobs by 2016, builds upon BMW’s substantial commitment to U.S. investment.
