This is your first time at Hannover Messe. What factors influenced your decision to participate this year?

We consider Hannover the the world’s leading trade fair for industrial technology, so we believe that any company that works in this are and wishes to become known in this market, should be attending Hannover - a company that wants to be immersed in this market needs to be there, not just to meet possible clients and expose their product, but also to be able to see and meet other innovative and new solutions.

Why is the Digital Factory pavilion a natural home for you?

The idea of a Digital Factory is the core of our product FactoryStudio, which delivers real-time information on projects that can scale from local embedded devices and mobile applications up to very large, distributed, high performance fault-tolerant systems. We we can give companies a strong, reliable network between IT and mechanical and electrical engineering, helping turn data into information - going beyond simply improving operational efficiency, FactoryStudio is a tool for better understanding of your business and for finding opportunities of growth, aiding in creating a better, more stable future for the company.

What do you hope to accomplish at Hannover Messe?

In Hannover, we hope to showcase our product and help clients understand how we can help them make deep impact on the productivity and efficiency of their industries, not just giving them the tools to adapt to the current technologies, but preparing for the new technologies that are just emerging. This is specially true for us, since we  just released FactoryStudio Industrial IoT (IIoT) HMI for Raspberry PI and Linux, that complements the FactoryStudio  multi-platform solutions that already had runtimes for Windows  Compact Framework and iOS devices. We would also like to meet new partners that can help us with this intersection of data, people and intelligent machines.

When and how did your company begin exporting?

We have  been  exporting since 2012. Our experience, so far, includes  Canada, Mexico, South America, Australia, Philippines and countries in the European Community.

What impact has exporting had on your company? What advice do you have for other American companies looking to start exporting?

When we started, from day one we had the target to have a significant part of your business from international markets. That had impact in all as aspects of the company organization and operations, from development, to technical support infra-structure and marketing strategies. Our two cents to other

American companies looking to start exporting, first of all, you need to be aware that it is a process, not a one step change; adapting the company internal structure, as well learning and the specifics or the targets markets, is a continuous task with incremental small changes. Finally, if the nature of your business has potential to have global reach, exporting is absolutely essential; you will be competing with more are more  international companies inevitably coming to the USA, the only way to be successful in this environment is to also compete in their local markets.
